When exotic wedding invitations or inexpensive wedding invitations just don’t do it for you then you should consider luxury wedding invitations. But you should be careful because these invitations can end up being either glamorous o cheesy. And I have a feeling you don’t want cheesy invitations…
How can wedding invitations be cheesy?
Most people think of gold and big and opulent adornments when they hear the word luxury. But if you are looking for a great luxury invitation to send out to your guests these are some things to avoid:
- Big and complicated calligraphy
- Extravagant golden letter pressing
- Pasting precious stones on the card
- Including glitter inside the inner envelope
You do not want your invitations to be written with such a complex calligraphy because then nobody will be able to read them! Golden letters do not work for weddings; consider silver letters, not even platinum because they can shine a bit too much. Precious stones? I don’t think so, unless you want your invitations to be extremely delicate and by the time they arrive to their destination the stones fell off.
And do not; I repeat, DO NOT include glitter in the envelopes! I don’t know who told who that this looked elegant, but it looks like a 3 year old did the invitations, plus it makes a mess when your guests take the invitations out of the envelope and you don’t want them picking up after you right?
Luxury and Elegance: The Secret
The one and only secret to having real luxurious wedding invitations is keeping it simple. There are things to keep in mind when making your invitations look elegant and luxurious like the type of paper, the wording and color of the stationary.
